چکیده
Wearable thermoelectric generators (TEGs) are considered as a promising power supply for low wearable electronics. To obtain high (TE) generation, the focus should be on two main factors, including TE materials and configurations of legs. Concerning these this paper provides comprehensive review recent studies TEGs. In general, can classified into three categories, inorganic, organic, hybrid (inorganic-organic). addition, legs prepared in different configurations, ingot-shaped, film-shaped, yarn-shaped. Based reviewed literatures, superior output powers all were achieved by hybrid, organic materials, respectively. It noted that ingot- yarn-shaped mostly composed inorganic Whereas, types almost equally used to prepare film-shaped Regarding density, ingot-shaped stood first followed film- legs, Precisely, at µW/cm2 level, dropping nW/cm2

Power Output Improvement of Silicon-Germanium Thermoelectric Generators
We present a technology for thermoelectric generators using large area pn-junctions. Thermally generated carriers are separated by the gradient of the built-in potential caused by the pn-junction. The use of these structures for waste heat recovery implies an externally applied temperature gradient in-plane with the pn-junction which causes a current of both electrons and holes from the heated ...
متن کاملModeling the Thermoelectric Properties of Bulk and Nanocomposite Thermoelectric Materials
Thermoelectric materials are materials which are capable of converting heat directly into electricity. They have long been used in specialized fields where high reliability is needed, such as space power generation. Recently, certain nanostructured materials have been fabricated with high thermoelectric properties than those of commercial bulk materials, leading to a renewed interest in thermoe...
متن کاملEfficiency of Inhomogeneous Thermoelectric Generators
We revisit the classical problem of the efficiency of inhomogeneous thermoelectric generators. The effects of different physical parameters on the efficiency of a generator are studied by solving the Domenicali’s equation numerically. It is found that the efficiency of a thermoelectric generator is insensitive to both the electrical resistivity and thermal conductivity. However, the efficiency ...

Thermoelectric energy generators are attractive as potential energy harvesters for converting waste thermal energy into electrical power. Optimized thermoelectric device designs require 100-200 μm element thicknesses currently unachievable with common manufacturing technologies. This work presents both a unique direct-write dispenser printing technique and novel polymer-composite thermoelectric...
